Breast implants- Cosmetic or Plastic Surgeon PERTH?

I am in the process of reaserching surgeons for breast implants. I have come to a halt on my final desision as there are so so many cosmetic and plastic surgeons in Perth! Can anyone recommend a surgeon for breast implants in Perth?
Also, if they have FRACCS after their name does it mean they are qualified to do breast implants?

Breast implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

If your ears are a source of embarrassment or annoyance for you, otoplasty is a special type of plastic surgery that might suit you. Whether one ear or both are misshapen or not the size you would like, this procedure can help.

Like any kind of surgery, you will need to follow specific instructions during the recovery period, most of which can be provided by your doctor. However, here is a general overview of how the postoperative care should be handled.

You will have some swelling for a few weeks, and it could even go away only to return within a few months. This is normal. To keep swelling to a minimum, try to keep your head elevated for the first week or so, and do not lift heavy objects or sunbathe for the first few months.

This will only irritate the area. Bruising is similar and should fade more each week, but you can simply use makeup to cover this if desired. It will go away naturally.

You will go home with bandages on your head the day of surgery. The next day, you can typically get the dressing removed, but you need to keep it clean meanwhile. To do so, you can clean the sutured area with a q-tip dipped in hydrogen peroxide. Once you get the dressing removed, you will receive a headband to keep the ear area safe.

You will need to wear the headband for at least two weeks, as this will help keep your ears even with each other. It is recommended that you choose baths instead of showers for this time period, but if you must you take a shower, you will need to be careful to work around the headband and not disturb the healing process. After the first two weeks, you only need to wear the headband at night until it has been six weeks since the otoplasty.

Choosing to get this surgery is a big step to being happier with your ears and your overall appearance. This part of your body can stand out if something doesn’t look right, so letting the area ruin your entire appearance is not recommended.

Clearly, getting an otoplasty does require some recovery time, but it does not last long, and the results are often worth it. If you have questions about the recuperation period, or notice bleeding for more than ten minutes, contact your doctor for further instructions.

Dallas otoplasty specialist can help to reshape any deformed ears due to trauma, accident or by birth. You don’t have to live lifelong with a deformed look. Get your confidence back. To learn more of the results, view the before and after photo here http://www.otoplastyinfo.com

Is it wrong to buy your daughter bigger breasts as a graduation gift?

Upper-class parents in the Dallas-Ft.Worth customarily treat
daughters graduating high school to breast implants(unless
they are large, where reduction would come into play. The boys
get hot sports cars, and the girls get breasts. The parents presume that the girls, with the larger breasts, will be more popular
college prospects, get more dates, and feel better about themselves in general.
My question is, do you find this repulsive? Is this just on the same level as the obligatory graduation nose-job common years ago
on the east coast(reduction, of course), or is it on a different level
altogether? Are large breasts really going to improve things?
Or are you creating a situation where these young ladies will
become obsessive about their body image in later life, running
out to the botox center when the first little wrinkle around the eys shows up? Is there anything normal about altering a minors
appearance like this? Are we not obsessed with body image as it is?

I am a 24 year old female. If my parents offered me to get bigger breasts as a graduation present, I would be disgusted. Of course they are going to be more popular in college. They are more likely to lay down with a guy. That’s why they are popular. They wont be known for being smart or athletic, they will be known for their breast size.

If the boys are getting sports cars….get the girl one of her choice! If you get your own daughter breast implants you might as well get her a van with no back seats. Just a mattress and a disco ball. More than likely she will end up there.

I don’t know if you have looked at any of the studies done lately but it is not healthy for a young teenage girl to get implants. Nor is it healthy for anyone to get them. You wouldn’t pay for your sons breast enhancement would you?? Then don’t do it for your daughter. Save your daughter the embarrassment, and teach her self esteem instead.

What happens during the first consultation?

The consultation involves 3 phases:

1. Patient directed review of plastic surgeons website education materials on breast augmentation.

2. Patient education consultation (via phone or in-person) and completion of patient preference documents.

3. Consultation with plastic surgeon

During the consultation the plastic surgeon will evaluate your general health, and take measurements of your breasts. He will explain which surgical techniques are most appropriate, based on the condition of your breasts and skin tone. The Dr. will describe alternatives and risks and limitations of each as well as review the recommended pre and post operative course with you.

You will have the opportunity to view pre and post op pictures, and discuss in detail what size you would like to be. The plastic surgeon will you objective and scientific methods to determine the correct implant size and type for your breast tissues and body. At the end of the consultation, you will have pictures taken. These are for your medical record to assist your surgeon to give you an optimal result.

The office manager will give you the total fee, which includes the fees of the surgeon, anesthesia and operating room. Financing is available as well. She will give written pre and post-op care and informed consent to review before signing and discuss your consultation appointment.

How is the surgery done?

Some plastic surgeons prefer to do breast augmentation in the outpatient surgery center using a board certified anesthesiologist. Although there are cheaper methods and places to do this type of surgery, Some feel that patient safety is of utmost importance and this is best provided in this setting. Furthermore, this optimizes patient comfort and allows the doctor to give you your best result.

The method of inserting and positioning your implant will depend on your chest size and shape. The incision can be made either in the crease where the breast meets the chest (breast fold) or around the areola (the dark skin surrounding the nipple), or in the axilla (armpit). Every effort will be made to assure that the incision is placed so resulting scars will be as small as possible.

Working through the incision, the doctor will lift your breast tissue (using only precise dissection and no blunt dissection to minimize post-operative pain and edema) to make a pocket, either directly behind your breast tissue or underneath your chest wall muscle (the pectoral muscle). The implants are then centered beneath your nipples.

Some surgeons do not use drains for breast augmentation.

Recovery time:

The patients can return to baseline activities of daily living after breast augmentation usually by 24 hours.

Some plastic surgeons perform several specialized maneuvers to minimize your post-operative pain. In fact, many patients can go shopping or travel 1 or 2 days after surgery without any complications. Your surgery can be done on an outpatient basis and you can go home the same day. At home, you will need someone to stay with you for the first 24 hours.

A surgical bra with a small piece of gauze on the incisions will be used for the first 2-3 days. The doctor allows you to shower the night of the procedure.. You will be seen for follow-up in 3-4 days, to learn and demonstrate how to massage and exercise your breasts and to have post-op care reinforced. You may return to work in 2-5 days with some limitations on physical activity.

No lifting over 10 pounds for 3 weeks. No aerobic workouts and increase your heart rate above 100 beats per minute for 3 weeks. Walking may begin after 1 day. Chest/ weight exercises may be resumed 6 weeks after surgery.

Some plastic surgeons use absorbable sutures that do not require removal.

The surgeon will be able to provide you with more specific details about the recovery process, and he or she may have other recommendations based on your individual needs. Should any problems occur after your surgery, contact your doctor immediately. This is especially important if you have a high temperature, or if one or both of your breasts are excessively swollen, tender to the touch, painful, red or inflamed.
